History of Grama Panchayat

Rich in coastal areas, hills, and valleys, the Peruvayal Panchayat is a rural region located near Kozhikode city. The primary crops cultivated here include paddy, coconut, arecanut, rubber, and banana. Primary schools were established here in the 1920s, while high schools were only introduced in 1980. The Mavoor Road passes through the Panchayat, and water transport relying on the Chaliyar River was also a key mode of transportation in the past.
